VPEdits Studio · Licence Agreement

This is an agreement between you and VP Support Services (Kingston, Jamaica), the maker of VPEdits Studio. "VPEdits" means the VPEdits Studio app, its installer, its Claude Code skills, its style templates, tools, graphics and any updates we give you. By installing, activating or using VPEdits you agree to this agreement. If you don't agree, don't install or use it.

01What you get

When you buy VPEdits (or get it from us with an access code), we give you a personal licence to install and use it on up to 2 computers that you own or control, at the same time. You can use it for your own videos and for videos you make for your business or your clients. The licence doesn't run out: you keep using the version you have, plus the updates we release for it.

Getting a new computer? Remove an old one first (in VPEdits: Settings > Licence > Remove this computer, or on the "Your computers" page linked in your download email), then activate the new one.

02What you can't do

You may not:

• share, give away, sell or publish your licence key, or let other people use it;
• resell, rent, lend or sublicense VPEdits, or put it on a website or file-sharing service;
• copy VPEdits for anyone else, or install it on more computers than your licence allows;
• get around, switch off or fake the licence check;
• take apart, decompile or reverse-engineer VPEdits, except where the law says you're allowed to;
• copy VPEdits' templates, skills, prompts or design to make a product or service that competes with it;
• remove our name, copyright or licence notices; or
• use VPEdits to break the law or anyone else's rights.

03Your videos are yours

Everything you make with VPEdits belongs to you: your footage, edits, drafts, thumbnails, captions, descriptions, your brand and the style rules you teach it. We don't get any rights to your content, and VPEdits doesn't send your videos or files to us.

You are responsible for having the right to use what you put in your videos (music, clips, images, people on camera) and for what you post.

04VPEdits is ours

VPEdits is licensed to you, not sold. VP Support Services owns VPEdits and all the rights in it (except the third-party parts in section 6). Anything not given to you in this agreement stays with us.

05Services you use with VPEdits

VPEdits works with services from other companies that are not part of VPEdits and are not run by us:

• Claude and Claude Code (by Anthropic): you need your own Claude Pro or Max plan, and you use it under Anthropic's own terms. Anthropic sets its prices, limits and rules and may change them.
• CapCut (by its own company): free to download, used under CapCut's own terms.
• Stock sites and AI tools you choose to connect (for example Artlist, Pexels or Pixabay): used under your own account and their licences.

We aren't responsible for those services, for them changing, or for them stopping. If one of them changes in a way that affects VPEdits, we'll do our reasonable best to update VPEdits, but we can't promise it.

06Open-source and third-party parts

VPEdits includes, or downloads during setup from their official sources, free and open-source software and fonts (for example Python, FFmpeg, Node.js, Whisper, VectCutAPI and the included SIL Open Font License fonts). Each one keeps its own licence, listed in the file Third-party licences.txt that comes with VPEdits. Nothing in this agreement limits the rights those licences give you.

07Activation and what it sends

VPEdits asks for your licence key the first time it opens. To activate, and to check the key about once a week, it sends these things to vpsupportservices.com:

• your licence key;
• an anonymous code for the computer (scrambled from the computer's own ID, so it can't be turned back into anything about you);
• the computer's name, whether it's Windows, Mac or Chromebook (Linux), and the VPEdits version.

That's all. It never sends your videos, files, brand, Claude account or anything you type in the app. We use this only to run your licence (to count your computers and stop shared keys) and to help you if you contact us. If you're offline, VPEdits keeps working for 30 days and checks again when you're back online. See also our Privacy Policy at vpsupportservices.com/Privacy.

08Updates

Updates for your edition are included at no extra cost. An update may add, change or remove features. We plan to keep VPEdits updated, but we don't promise to make updates forever.

09Refunds

Because VPEdits is a digital download, sales are final once your licence key has been activated. If VPEdits won't run on your computer and we can't fix it, write to us within 14 days of buying and we'll refund you; your key is then switched off. A refund or a chargeback ends your licence. Nothing in this section takes away any rights you have under the consumer laws where you live.

10Ending the licence

You can stop using VPEdits at any time. Your licence ends automatically if you break this agreement (for example by sharing your key), and we may then switch your key off. When the licence ends you must stop using VPEdits and uninstall it. Sections 3, 4, 11, 12 and 14 still apply after it ends.

11No warranty

We work hard to make VPEdits reliable, but it's provided "as is" and "as available", without any promises beyond those the law requires. VPEdits uses AI, and AI can make mistakes: always watch your draft before you post it. VPEdits never deletes your files (clean-up moves them to the Recycle Bin or Trash, after you see the list), but please keep your own backups of footage that matters to you.

12Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, VP Support Services is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including lost footage, lost income, lost views or lost data. Our total liability for anything to do with VPEdits is limited to the amount you paid for it.

13Changes to this agreement

We may update this agreement. The newest version is always at vpsupportservices.com/VPEdits/License, and it applies to updates of VPEdits you install after it's posted. If you don't agree with a change, don't install that update.

14Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Jamaica. If there's a disagreement, we'll first try to sort it out together in good faith; if we can't, the courts of Jamaica decide, unless the law where you live gives you the right to go to your local courts.
